Gilt bronze, size 9 with the low rounded band, 2.4mm at the bottom, flaring to the shoulders. Round bezel with hound’s tooth border and central hexagram  with cabalistic ciphers suggesting use by a sorcerer. See Ancient Rings, T N Pollio, p.119 and 120 for related examples. This combines characteristics of both merchant’s seal rings and sorcerer’s rings, probably to avoid scrutiny. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored.
