Silvered bronze, 7/8” height, of quaint provincial workmanship. The beams with rounded ends with circles. A circle at the junction adds to five, representing the five wounds of Christ. The bottom expanded representing the world, thus, a variation of the cross and orb popular throughout the Medieval period. Reverse with identical motif in lower relied (fainter). Surface textured from burial. On a modern Sterling silver neck chain with the silver surface restored. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
