Silvered bronze, just over 1 1/4” total height. Triangular from base on the protective brooches of the Viking Pagan period. See our B2325. Raised edge enclosing a pelleted border as with the earlier model and a central cross with pellets to the interior angles. Classic adaptation of the heirloom (Viking) form to the Christian function after conversion.  Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored, on an 18” modern sterling silver neck chain.
